Setup Managers and Direct Reports

Spiro allows admins to set a manager for any user on the team. You can set the manager by navigating to Settings > User Administration > Click on the name of a user and select a manager from the pick list.

You to have multiple users under a single manager, and those users can in turn manage multiple people allowing multiple tiers of management. Establishing a manager does not affect the visibility of the direct report, but visibility may change for the manager based on their selected role.

If the manager has their role set to Executive (All Data):

  • No change - they will still be able to view all data.

If the manager has their role set to Manager:

  • They will be able to view opportunities for their team
  • They can view all contacts and companies in their organization
  • They can change ownership of companies, contacts and opportunities for users on their team.
  • They can view email content for their team in the timeline
  • They can set reminders for all users in their organization

If the manager has their role set to Manager (Limited) profile:

  • They can view their team's opportunities, contacts and companies only.
  • They can change ownership of companies, contacts and opportunities between users on their team.
  • They can view email content for their team in the timeline
  • They can set reminders for their team

If a manager is assigned a sales rep, sales rep (limited) or partner profile, they will not be able to see or manage direct report's data.
