Spiro Release [July 2026]
July 2026 Release Notes
This release introduces Create with AI, a new way to capture information into Spiro through chat, by typing, speaking, or sending a photo, alongside upgrades to Branch Assignment and new admin-configurable Route settings, plus a broad set of search, merge, and customization improvements.
Create with AI
Ask Spiro now understands more than typed text. In the same chat, you can describe what happened by typing or speaking, or send a photo of a business card or a handwritten note, and Spiro turns it into the right CRM action.
Why it matters
Reps often capture information in the field where typing into Spiro isn't practical: a business card at a trade show, notes jotted during a visit, or a quick voice recap after a call. Previously, all of that had to be manually re-entered later. Create with AI lets reps capture information the way it naturally comes in, while Spiro figures out what to do with it.
How it works
Ask Spiro detects the contact, company, and intent (log an activity, add a note, or create a follow-up) from what you give it: text, voice, or an image. - Capture with chat and voice: describe what happened in your own words, typed or spoken, and Spiro extracts the contact, company, and activity details. - Business Card capture: photograph a business card and Spiro creates or updates the contact automatically. - Notes capture: photograph handwritten or printed notes and Spiro pulls out the relevant contact, company, and activity information. - If required information is missing, Spiro asks for it before creating anything, and always shows a confirmation step so you can review and edit before anything is saved. - Existing Ask Spiro behavior continues to work exactly as before. This is additive, not a replacement. - Available on web.
Branch Assignment Updates
Building on June's Branch Assignment feature, pending assignments now surface as notifications in the Alert Center, and Spiro uses AI to explain and suggest the right branch based on the contact's email signature.
Why it matters
Since Branch Assignment shipped in June, reps had to visit the Contacts list to notice a pending assignment, with no visibility into why a contact was assigned the way it was, making the suggestion hard to trust or quickly verify.
How it works - Pending branch assignments now generate a notification in the Alert Center, showing a preview of up to 5 assignments and a total count. Reps still need to open the Contacts list to review the full list and act on each one. - Assignment suggestions are now AI-assisted: Spiro reads the contact's email signature, in addition to domain matching, to suggest the right branch. - The Pending Branch Assignment modal shows an info icon next to the contact's status; hovering explains why that branch was suggested (email domain match, or an address found in the signature). - Available on web.
Route Customization Settings
Admins can now configure how the Routes map legend, "most recent activity" calculation, and account preview metric behave for their entire organization, instead of being stuck with Spiro's defaults.
Why it matters
Every organization tracks accounts differently. Some want the map legend driven by a custom status field, others want "most recent activity" based on a specific activity type, and the default "Rolling 12M Sales" metric on account cards isn't the number every business cares about. None of this was configurable before.
How it works - Available to admins only, from the Route Planner gear icon or Settings → Customizations → Routes. Non-admins see the settings icon disabled. - Grouping field: choose which field (default or custom) drives the map legend and stop colors, including on the Company Details map. - Most recent activity date: choose which activity type or date field is used to calculate an account's most recent activity. - Pin preview metric: choose which currency/number field (from the Sales Order Summary or any custom section) is shown on the map pin preview, replacing the default "Rolling 12M Sales" label and value. - Settings apply organization-wide. - Available on web, iOS, and Android.
Routes on Mobile
Several other Routes updates ship on mobile this release.
How it works - Attach an image to a Route activity, on both iOS and Android. - Company stops on the active Route home screen now show assistant-alert chips, on both iOS and Android. - After logging an activity from a Route, Android now prompts you to set a next step.
Assistant Alert Chips on Mobile Detail Pages
Company, Contact, and Opportunity detail pages on mobile now show colored chips for active assistant alerts, matching the web experience.
Why it matters
Reps on the road need to know what's important about an account before walking in, without digging through the full record. Alert chips already existed on web; mobile detail pages had no equivalent.
How it works - Chips appear above the executive summary on Company, Contact, and Opportunity detail pages, sorted with red alerts first, then other colors, then everything else. - On Company detail pages, chips also roll up alerts from related Contacts and Opportunities under a "Related Alerts" entry, which opens a sheet listing each related alert; tapping one navigates to that record's detail page. - Available on Android. iOS support is coming in a future release.
Search Improvements
A handful of search upgrades across web and mobile.
How it works - Tickets can now be searched by email body content, not just subject and metadata. - The clear ("x") button in web search fields now only appears once you've typed something. - Mobile search results now show the record's address and external ID, making it easier to identify the right result at a glance.
Ticket & Record Merge Improvements
The merge modal and record detail page headers have been updated to match the latest designs, with clearer handling when merging multiple tickets at once.
How it works - Header buttons and tabs on Company, Contact, and Ticket detail pages remain visible but disabled during an in-progress merge, instead of disappearing. - A refresh button stays available on the merge-in-progress page so you can reload the record once the merge completes. - When merging multiple tickets, the modal now shows "Selected tickets…" instead of naming a single ticket, with up to 5 tickets listed and a "+N more" summary.
Other Improvements
- Activity Customization now enforced: Activity Customization settings (Settings → Customizations → Activities) are now consistently applied across the Activity list, the Create Activity flow, and the post-call screen in the Spiro Phone App, so field visibility can no longer be bypassed in one flow while being respected in another. Available on web.
- Assistant Rules: 'contains' / 'does not contain': Assistant Rule criteria now support "contains" and "does not contain" operators, making it easier to include or exclude accounts based on a keyword when there's no dedicated field to match on. Available on web.
- "Show in Filters" extended: The "Show in Filters" customization introduced in June now supports additional resources and fields. Available on web.
- Consistent list loading: All resource lists, standard and custom, now render the table structure immediately with a loading indicator, instead of showing a blank area while data loads. Available on web.
