Spiro Release [August 2026]
August 2026 Release Notes
This release rebuilds the Company Sales Orders tab into a configurable dashboard, opens Spiro to external AI clients through a new MCP server, and brings the Executive Summary to Tickets, alongside additional company phone numbers, invoice based Assistant Rules, and a simpler Auto Follow.
Sales Orders Dashboard on Company Details
The Sales Orders tab on a Company is no longer a flat list of orders. It is now a dashboard that opens with the account's order performance and lets each user decide what it shows.
Why it matters
The tab only ever listed individual ERP synced orders, which meant answering a basic question like "how is this account trending?" required reading rows or leaving the page entirely. The Sales Order Summary lived somewhere else, on the Company Details page, and order line items were another click away on a separate details screen. For manufacturers, whose whole relationship with an account runs through order history, the most important tab in the record was the least informative.
How it works
The Sales Order Summary moves off Company Details and into the Sales Orders tab, keeping its roll up metrics such as Orders YTD, Orders Previous YTD, Quarter to Date, Previous Quarter to Date, Last Order Date, Budget, and any custom fields. - Summary cards at the top show Total Revenue, Total Orders, and Average Order Value. - Two charts visualize the account: Revenue Over Time as a line chart, and Orders by Status as a donut chart, both with hover tooltips. -
Customize Dashboard: choose which widgets appear (KPI Summary, Performance Insights, Sales Order Summary, Orders Table) and what order they appear in, with a live preview before you apply the change. Your configuration is remembered. -
Chart colors: assign a color to each order status through a picker that supports visual selection, hex input, and opacity. Your colors apply to the donut segments, the legend, and the status indicators. - Clicking an order opens a drawer with two tabs, Sales Order Details and Sales Order Items, so line items are visible without navigating to the full Sales Order Details page.
Graphs can be expanded for a closer look, and the Sales Order Summary now carries a descriptive banner. - The order list keeps its existing search, sorting, pagination, and filters.
Available on web, for organizations using Spiro's standard Sales Orders.
If your team brings orders in from an ERP and you don't see the new dashboard, reach out to your CSM to start exploring a move to standard Sales Orders.
Connect Spiro to Claude and ChatGPT
Spiro now runs an MCP server, so an admin can connect an AI client to their organization's Spiro data and ask questions against real records instead of retyping context.
Why it matters
Teams increasingly work inside an AI client and want it to reach their CRM. Until now there was no supported way to give Claude, ChatGPT, or a similar client access to Spiro data, and the workarounds meant handing an external tool broad API credentials with no proper scoping.
How it works
- Supported clients: Claude (web, Desktop, and Cowork), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code.
- Eight tools cover contacts, companies, opportunities, and activities (calls, meetings, texts, and notes), in matched pairs for searching and for retrieving a full record.
- Everything is read only. No tool creates, edits, or deletes a record, sends an email, or moves a deal
- Each connection is scoped to a single organization, and only admins with an active subscription can connect.
- Setup instructions for every client are in the guide: https://support.spiro.ai/article/662-spiro-mcp-server
Executive Summary on Tickets
Ticket Details pages now show an AI generated Executive Summary of the ticket's activity, the same feature already available on Company, Opportunity, and Contact records.
Why it matters
Picking up someone else's ticket meant reading the full activity log to work out what had happened and where things stood. Every other major record type already had a summary for exactly this reason. Tickets, where handoffs are most common, did not.
How it works
- The summary appears on the Ticket Details page and in the ticket details drawer, in the same position and with the same collapse and expand behavior as on other records.
- It is generated from the ticket's own activity, including status changes, notes, and interactions, and refreshes on the same cadence as other entities.
- When a ticket has no summarizable activity yet, a default message appears instead of an empty summary. Closed tickets show who closed the ticket and when, along with the open date. Open tickets show current status, priority, owner, and open date.
- Available on web, iOS, and Android.
Phone 2 and Phone 3 on Companies
A company record can now hold up to three phone numbers, all fully functional rather than notes text.
Why it matters
Companies rarely have one number. Customers keeping a main line, a direct line, a warehouse, or a mobile had nowhere to put them, so those numbers ended up in notes or improvised custom fields, where they could not be dialed, could not be texted, were not formatted, and were invisible to caller matching, meaning inbound calls from them logged against nothing.
How it works
- Two optional fields, Phone 2 and Phone 3, are added to the Company record. Both are hidden by default, so nothing changes until an admin turns them on.
- Admins enable, reorder, and relabel them through the standard Display Fields settings.
- Both use the same input format, country selector, validation, and display formatting as the existing Phone field.
- Click to dial and texting work on both fields everywhere they work on the existing Phone field, and the resulting calls and messages are logged to the company the same way.
- Inbound calls and messages from any of the three numbers are matched to the company. A contact phone match still takes priority over a company match.
- Both fields behave like the existing Phone field in list views, search, filters, import, export, company merge, and duplicate detection.
- Available on web, iOS, and Android, in both the CRM app and the Phone app.
Assistant Rules on Invoice Activity
Assistant Rules for Companies can now be built on invoice data, matching what Sales Orders have supported all along.
Why it matters
Invoices are a standard entity in Spiro, but rules could not see them. Anyone wanting an alert for overdue invoices, invoice totals crossing a threshold, or accounts with nothing invoiced had no way to express it, even though the equivalent Sales Order rule was a few clicks away.
How it works
- Add criteria based on Invoice fields, standard or custom, the same way Sales Order fields work today.
- Add criteria based on Invoice Summary fields, the aggregated invoice information on the company. - Use an "If No Invoices" criterion to catch companies with no invoices on file.
- Base a rule's alert value on invoice fields, using sum, average, or count.
- A rule action can set a value on a Sales Invoice field when records start or stop meeting the criteria.
- Rules referencing invoice data are re-evaluated whenever an invoice is created, updated, or deleted, so alerts stay accurate.
Auto Follow Settings Have Moved
Auto Follow is now configured from Notification Settings, alongside the Executive Summary it feeds. The Following page has been removed from Settings.
How it works
- Turn on the Executive Summary notification and a configuration modal opens, working the same way as the existing Manager Summary setup.
- The modal covers Auto-Follow Companies, Companies Filtered By, Auto-Follow Team Opportunities, Opportunities Filtered By, and whether to include companies or opportunities with no activity.
- Your existing Auto Follow configuration carries over. Nothing needs to be set up again.
- The Follow and Unfollow button on Company and Opportunity detail pages is now more prominent. - Records you follow manually are prioritized in summary emails, ahead of automatically followed ones. - Available on web.
Quotes Improvements
Several updates to quoting.
How it works
- The same pricelist product can be added to a quote more than once. This is a configuration item, so quoting behavior is unchanged unless your organization turns it on.
- Spiro Views now apply to the Add Products and Quote Products tabs, so you can show and hide columns, pin them, reorder them by dragging, and reset the view. Quantity stays pinned to the left.
- Quote duplication was reviewed end to end, so a duplicated quote carries over line items, product and pricing selections, and quote level settings, while identifiers, timestamps, status, and approval state start clean.
- Pricelist Product discounts now explain themselves in the interface: changing a discount applies to products added afterwards and does not change products already added.
Mobile Updates
Mobile is a major area of investment for us right now. We recently completed a full review of the mobile apps and mapped out a roadmap for bringing more of the Spiro web experience to iOS and Android, so your team has the same capabilities in the field that they have at their desk. That work lands steadily over the coming releases, starting with the updates below.
How it works
- Assistant alert chips now appear on Company, Contact, and Opportunity detail pages on iOS, completing the rollout that began on Android.
- After logging an activity from a Route, iOS now prompts you to set a next step, so a visit never ends without a follow up in place.
- Android adds two new field types, Order Picker and Product Picker, which work like the other pickers and let you select from the standard Sales Orders and Products entities.
- Reminders created from the Android Home and Route screens now include a time picker, so you choose the exact time you want to be reminded instead of the previous 9:00 AM default.
- Android deep links now open the right screen for contacts, opportunities, companies, activities, and reminders, including a specific reminder and its collaboration notes.
Other Improvements
- Consistent map colors: the Company Details map now uses the same colors as the Route Planning map legend, so an account reads the same way in both places. Available on web, iOS, and Android.
- Modals that stay usable when scrolling: modals with long content keep the title and action buttons fixed while only the content scrolls, so you never lose track of what you are editing or have to scroll to find Save. Available on web.
- Owner in Assistant Rules for Companies: Owner is now available as a criteria field when building Assistant Rules for the Company entity. Available on web.
- Lookup fields in calculated fields: lookup section fields can be referenced as either ID or Name in a calculated field expression, instead of returning a value the page could not display. Available on web.
