Teams Phone Integration
In the Integrations section of Admin settings, you will find a new standard integration for Teams Phone. Admins can connect for their team so current and future users will always have their phones connected to Spiro.
It's important to note that:
1) Right now we cannot bring in transcriptions, call summaries or generate next steps based on call content because the Microsoft API does not give us the information necessary. We are continuing to monitor all the updates to the API and will add this functionality as soon as it becomes available.
2) Only direct calls to a Teams Phone phone number will be synced. The integration does not sync calls made to the auto attendant and then forwarded to a Teams Phone number,
Overview
When admins setup this integration, it will allow all calls to sync to Spiro as activities (calls only, not texts or voicemails).
BEFORE WE START:
1) You need to setup and enable the Admin 365 Integration in Settings
2) For all matching Spiro and Teams Phone users, make sure the email address matches in both systems. If the emails are different, we won't be able to sync information properly.
Setup
Step 1: Admins can go to Settings - Integrations and navigate to Teams Phone and click "Enable".

Step 2: The Enable button with change to Configure - press Configure.

Step 3: You will see the option to Create Contacts. By default, this setting is turned off. That means that calls from numbers that are not saved in Spiro will not sync. Spiro will only sync calls if the FROM and TO numbers match Spiro contacts and users.
If you want all calls to sync, even if the number is not associated with a contact, turn this setting on. Spiro will create a contact to sync the call to and you can merge that record with a contact if it already exists.
- We will skip contacts with blank first or last name and contacts without phone information.
- The sync will run hourly and we will fetch only delta information from Teams Phone.

Details on the call sync:
- Calls will show as activities in the timeline.
- Logged to the contact / company if the number matches. All the fields we currently support (subject, date, duration) are automatically added.
- Spiro should log if it is an inbound or outbound call and any “disposition” it can retrieve from Teams Phone if available.
- If there are multiple matches, we pick the first contact.
- If the call has no matching contact or company, it should appear in the phone log.
Disable Integration
This will disable the integration for all users.
